Prayer is important to anything we do. Most of us don’t do it enough. As a person in business, you have the privilege to pray for your business to bless others through a triple bottom line impact.
It is important to have positive returns in all three of your bottom lines. Therefore, it is important to pray for all three bottom lines.
Here are three ways you can pray for your business to bless others.
1. Economic Bottom Line
It’s OK to pray for your company to be profitable. God is the one who gives you the power to gain wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18), so it makes sense that for you to ask him to help you do that. Your company can do a lot of good for a lot of people—but only if it is profitable.
PRAY for God to bless your return on your efforts. And pray that God would show you how to do His work His way, so that you can have even greater returns on your efforts.
2. Social Bottom Line
Your company touches many lives. You can implement the Golden Rule in how you do your business. You have the opportunity to treat others the way you would want them to treat you (Luke 6:31). If you treat your employees, customers, suppliers, investors, and community the way you would want to be treated, then you will bless others and have a profound impact on everyone around you.
PRAY that you would be able to infuse tenderness, team, trust, and transparency into your culture at your business. Pray that your 4T Culture would have an impact on your employees, customers, suppliers, investors, and your community.
3. Spiritual Bottom Line
You can live out what you believe in your company on a daily basis. By being an example of the Gospel in the business world through your 4T Culture (1 Corinthians 9:22b-23), you will be able to reach people that a church will never be able to do. Your company can have a transformational effect on people if you are intentional about how you look at the triple bottom line impact you can have.
PRAY for your business to touch people’s hearts through your expression of agapao love in the workplace. Pray that your business would have an impact far larger than you could have on your own.
Through your intentional prayer and action, your business can have an economic, social, and spiritual impact that will touch your employees, customers, suppliers, investors, and your community.
